Recently, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation released the appraisal results for 2014 National Outstanding Quality Control Team of Petroleum and Chemical Industry. Both of the project “Speeding up Turnover of Isoquinoline Inventory” reported by the Integrated Trade Business Department of Sinochem Plastics Co., Ltd. and the project “Reducing Logistics and Customs Costs of Imported Raw Materials” by its Engineering Plastics Business Department were highly appraised by the Federation and awarded the honorary title of 2014 National Outstanding Quality Control Team of Petroleum and Chemical Industry, thus Sinochem Plastics has gained such title for the fifth consecutive year since 2010.
The activity of choosing national outstanding quality control teams of petroleum and chemical industry is hosted by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation with an intention to accelerate the improvement in the overall quality control in chemical industry. So far, it has been held 33 times. The award-winning projects of Sinochem Plastics have reflected lean concepts and methods in practical activities and achieved a success, being typical projects in their respective fields.
Over the past years, Sinochem Plastics has been exploring scientific and effective practices in the process of lean management, highlighting the participation awareness of all staff, strictly controlling expenditures, and making use of lean projects to achieve the optimization of process, reduction in costs and improvement in efficiency, therefore, it has promoted continuous improvement in the lean management of the Company, deepened lean management and management improvement and further enhanced the Company’s core competitiveness.
